When to Go
The dry season (May–September) offers clearer mornings and reliable lek activity, while the wet months bring lush foliage and a different cast of migrants. Both have merit — your target species should decide your dates.

Where to Look
Cock-of-the-rock leks are best at first light, when males display in flashes of crimson. Position yourself early, keep silhouettes low, and let the birds come to you.
